I love solving problems through coding. I have experience in image analysis, NLP and recommendation systems. I was recently awarded 5th place (among 816 teams) in The 2018 Data Science Bowl: automated nucleus detection. I have participated in high school math competitions. I was awarded a silver medal in International Mathematics Olympiad held in Germany, 2009. I also speak 5 languages each one at least on an advanced level. I received my B.S. from Orta Dogu Teknik Universitesi in Ankara, Turkey and my Ph.D. from the University of Colorado Boulder. When I am not coding and doing math, I like to bike, play basketball/soccer and watch soccer games.
